Turkish angora cats are originally from turkey and are not breed with any other cross breed. It is a European country cat type. Turkish angora cats have same behavior of other cats but they do possess some different characteristics types.

The Turkish Angora is a unique breed. Turkish Angora cats have the same common health problems like other kittens, but there are a few specific and quick diseases that affect the Turkish Angora are eye problems. If a Turkish angora has a blue eye then the ear that is closest to that eye will have hearing ability problems. Some Turkish Angoras are born deaf due it having blue eyes.

Many Turkish Angoras are seen with odd colored eyes. One eye is amber and the other eye is blue which denotes those kinds of cats do not have a normal hearing abilities. Other than the eye problem the Turkish angora are mainly affected by the disease called ataxia. Ataxia is nothing but inability to coordinate voluntary muscle movements which is unsteady muscle movements. Since many of the Turkish angora faces this hereditary problem, many kittens tend to die at a young age and some which do not learn or try to move also die very quickly. So taking care of this type of breed should be properly diagnosed and proper treatment must be given in order to save their lives. So a full understanding of the breed is needed before you start caring for a Turkish Angora Kitten.
